Diluted semen can be stored at -196°C and be used successfully for more than 10 years after cryopreservation.
When should you undergo semen storage?
- Couples who want to receive artificial reproduction treatment but temporarily live in different locations
- Men who want to receive a vasectomy
- Those undergoing cancer, surgery, or medical procedures
- Those with low sperm counts
- Those who cannot provide semen on the day of ovum retrieval day
- A semen donor
Notice:
Individuals who want to receive assisted reproductive treatments would need to first undergo the VDRL and HIV blood test. A valid marriage certificate is also necessary for those who want to receive test-tube baby treatments.
